Migration study for integrating a digital bank.
The study compared ways to integrate an independent digital bank into the Avaloq Front Platform and used prototypes to test the technical uncertainties.
The study addressed how an established, independent digital bank could be integrated into a product-based online and mobile banking platform built on the Avaloq Front Platform. The aim was to realise greater IT synergies without losing the capabilities that differentiated the digital bank.
The study analysed the bank’s business context and existing systems and examined several migration paths. For each option, it compared implementation effort, risks, constraints, potential synergies and the differentiating capabilities to preserve. Prototypes tested the feasibility of the most technically uncertain parts. The resulting basis for decision-making was delivered to senior management.
Evidence used to compare the migration options.
Every option was assessed against the same criteria. Prototypes added evidence where technical feasibility was uncertain.
